At the Gronau site, decades of experience meet state-of-the-art technology. With currently more than 100 dedicated employees, we produce around 10,000 tons of needle fleece each year. This corresponds to an area of more than 4,000 football fields.

Precision and Performance in Every Step

Our Machinery

In our modern production facilities, nonwovens are created through several processing stages. The fibers are carded and needled, and depending on the required properties, subsequently thermofixed or latex-bonded. We manufacture nonwovens ranging from 40 to 3,000 g/m² – as single-layer, double-layer, or sandwich structures – in widths from 0.50 to 6 meters. Each batch is precisely tailored to the requirements of the final product.

Strong inside

At ALTEX, everything takes place in-house – from production and maintenance to quality assurance. This makes us flexible, fast, and reliable. Our metalworking team handles all maintenance and repair work. Electrical peripheral systems are also developed internally: our electrical engineering team designs, builds, and services all equipment – including software and programming. This enables us to respond quickly to new requirements and remain highly adaptable.

Exports

Exports are an important pillar for ALTEX and now account for more than 50% of the total production.
We supply customers worldwide – from Saudi Arabia and Egypt to the USA and across Europe, including the Benelux countries, Spain, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Denmark.
Our products are primarily used in the mobiltech sector for the automotive industry and in the ecotech sector for green roof systems.
